Press Release: Remembrance Service - 'D-Day & Monte Cassino 75th Anniversary'

On Thursday, 6th June, a Remembrance Service by The Royal British Legion was held at the Memorial Gardens, Horley to commemorate the ‘D-Day & Monte Cassino 75th Anniversary’.
Welcome and Introductions were received from the RBL Branch Vice-Chairman, Paul Grest and Horley Town Mayor & Chairman, Cllr David Powell.
The service was conducted by Branch Chaplin, the Reverend Canon Leslie Wells. Readings were given by pupils from Oakwood School. The service was very well attended by the public along with representatives from many local community groups and Town, Borough and County Councillors.
