Horley In Bloom Awards Night

The Eveing was hosted by Cllr Mike George on 28th September at the Regent Halls in Albert Road. Prizes were presented by Cllr Dorothy Ross-Tomlin, Mayor of Reigate & Banstead Borough Council and Cllr David Powell, Chairman & Town Mayor of Horley Town Council.

Horley Town Coucil would like to record our thanks to the individuals and local businesses who have sponsored town centre hanging baskets and planters, as well as our “in Bloom” competition prizes.  These are:

Cllr David Powell, Cllr Simon Marshall, Cllr Kay Hammond, Collingwood Batchellor, Dream Doors, MAD Ideas, Mitchells of Horley, Regency Grove Communications & SGN

Particular thanks to County Cllr Kay Hammond for donations from her Members’ Allowances for flower planters at the Court Lodge Shops and Horley Row for another summer.

Thanks to Gatwick Greenspace Partnership and Horley Conservation Group for all their work in Horley this year.

A big thank you to all our judges for their hard work across the many competition categories, plus thanks to Darren at Dappers for the huge amounts of engraving he has undertaken for us at a special rate, plus his endless patience!  Special thanks also to Cllrs Alex Horwood and Surrinder Banwait for judging this year’s Photographic Competition.
