Horley in Spring 2014
We are pleased to announce that the Horley in Spring Competition for 2014 has just been launched. We hope that many local residents, businesses and community groups will be keen to enter. This year, for the first time, as well as inviting entries from the parish of Horley, we will also be inviting entries from Hookwood. Schools from Charlwood will also be invited to enter. There will be five categories this year:
• Residential House
• Residential Flat
• Community (includes schools)
• Commercial (includes pubs)
• Hanging Basket / Planter
Certificates will be issued for the winners and runners up in each class, as well as to the best newcomers. An entry form is available from the Town Council Offices and can also be downloaded from this link.
The closing date for entries is Monday 7 April 2014. Judging will take place in early – mid April. (Subject to weather conditions.)
All results will appear in the local press and on the Town Council website. Prizes will be presented at the Horley Town Meeting, due to be held at the Albert Rooms, Albert Road, Horley on Friday 25 April 2014.
