New roof for Innes Pavilion
At its Extraordinary Full Council Meeting held on 1 October, the council discussed the urgent need to have the Innes Pavilion roof at Court Lodge replaced in view of its poor and unsafe state. Having put the work out to tender, the expected total cost of the project is £150k. The council have directed that borrowing approval of £85,000 should be sought from the Dept. for Communities and Local Government to enable a short term loan to be made from the Public Works Loan Board (the body which offers loans to local authorities). The remaining amount will be funded from the council's reserves. The work will ensure that the Innes Pavilion can be used as a much needed community facility for Horley.
