A Jubilee Fun Day is to be held at Horley
A Jubilee Fun Day is to be held at Horley Recreation Ground, Brighton Road, Horley on Monday 4 June, to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
The event will be run by local organisations, including Horley Town Council, Horley Chamber of Commerce, Horley Lions, Horley Round Table, 41 Club and local Scouts and Guides. The day will start at 12 noon with a procession of marching bands and floats, which will make its way down Victoria Road to the Recreation Ground. Local groups will have stalls at the park and there will be arena events, which will include dance displays and singing from Vegas Nights Live and the Horley Singers.
There will also be a fancy dress competition, a children’s funfair and a variety of refreshment stalls, as well as a miniature railway, penalty shoot-out, zorbing balls (human hamster balls) and trampolines.
The event is due to finish around 6.00 pm.
