On 05 December 2024 Surrey County Council will make the above-mentioned temporary
order, the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic on foot or by any other means from
entering or proceeding along that length of Public Footpath 546 (Horley) which extends for
about 85 metres in an easterly and then a northerly direction from point A at its junction

2024, or until completion of the works, if earlier. That period can be extended by the
Secretary of State for Transport if required.
The temporary closure will only be in operation when appropriate road traffic signs are
displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf.
Access to properties will not be affected.
The alternative route for traffic from the High Street end of the closure at point A is via
pavements and Public Footpath 547 (Horley) (foot bridge) shown as a broken black line on
plan no. 3/1/45/H41.
The alternative route for traffic from Station Approach end of the closure at point B will be
the reverse of the above.
