Tennis Court Line Painting
We are adding new pickleball lines to the middle tennis court this weekend which have been paid for by the Horley Lions club.
We are asking people to stay away from the court. The net is being taken down to facilitate the line marking.
Horley Lions have agreed to pay for the lines to enable more members of the community to play pickleball. Pickleball is one of the fastest growing sports in the US and is growing in popularity in the UK. It's best described as a combination of badminton, ping-pong and tennis. The smaller courts and slower balls mean it can be played by people with a bigger range of mobility and fitness. This all meets the funding criteria for Horley Lions which seeks to encourage health and well-being, combat loneliness, support for mental health and inclusion.
