Celebration Parade – Sunday 23 July 2006

Horley Royal British Legion has organised an event on the above date to celebrate the occasion of the Queen’s 80th Birthday, the 80th Anniversary of the Horley Women’s Section, the 85th Anniversary of the Branch and lastly the 80th anniversary of the Horley RBL Club. During the celebration service, rose beds appropriately planted with the Queen Elizabeth floribunda rose will be formally dedicated to commemorate the Queen’s Birthday. Music will be played by the Redhill Corps of Drums. Before the service a parade will take place from the Royal British Legion and the celebration service will commence at 1500 hrs. The Town Council is closely liaising with the British Legion as it is responsible for the maintenance of the Memorial Gardens.
