New Councillor

Horley Town Council is pleased to announce that Dr Richard Olliver has been co-opted to fill the vacancy for a councillor in the Horley North Ward.

Two nominations were considered by the Full Council on 14 February. The Town Council elected Dr Olliver following brief presentations. It now brings the membership back to eighteen town councillors.

Dr Olliver, who will be an Independent Councillor, has lived and worked in Horley for 32 years. He is currently senior partner at the Health Centre in Kings Road. He will sit on two of the Town Council’s Committees - Leisure & Amenities and Planning & Development.

Chairman & Town Mayor, Cllr Michael Miller added “it is with great pleasure that I welcome Dr Olliver to the Town Council and I am delighted that we have a new member who will undoubtedly help to improve the quality of life of local residents”.
